Never the states a wire castor in an airgun. The bore and rifling will be damaged as in well-nigh cases they are made of softer steel than a powder burner. many airguns are only lined by a tube and damaging that is irreparAble.

only food for thought!!!

I suggest that you lot never employ a metallic brush. At that place are nylon brushes available and that is sufficient.

Goo gone seems to get things pretty clean for me, no issues with information technology and then far. I did read somewhere it can exist bad for safe, but if your running dry patches through until clean you lot should be removing nigh of the goo gone anyways.

Clean??? What's to clean? I've had my .177 Gamo about 8 years and only needed to make clean it twice and i of those times was when I took it out of the box!
Intermission it open, simply don't cock information technology.
Apply a small wood dowel and some Q-tips. Don't shoot the Q-tips, push button then through from the breach with the dowel.  A touch of rubbing alcohol on the first Q-tip or 2 and exit the balance dry.

I suggest you go to the GTA library and read up go to All near lubricants. in that location ton of good info in at that place
IMO powder burners take completely different cleaning needs and requirements than that of an airgun- i.e. rut, lead, copper, brass and corrosive powders etc. to name a few.
